Jed Starkey is a UEFA Advanced Licence Coach and a Coach Educator for the football Association delivering Levels 1, 2 and UEFA ‘B’ Courses.  This page is designed to assist the up and coming coach with advice and guidance on coaching sessions.   

Jed explains “I am a firm believer in ensuring the coach enjoys his/her coaching delivery as this will not only assist the motivation and development of the coach but also ensure the player has a great learning/coaching experience.  I also believe that each player and indeed coach learns and develops in varying ways.  As a coach it is our responsibility to ensure that every player steps off the training session/pitch developing new techniques, ensuring they understand their role in opposed practices and have more that one option on and off the ball when playing small sided games and matches. If we can assist the player with technique on the ball, decision making off the ball and how they fit into a unit of players within a team.
